Kate had her first trip to the doctor today. The doctor says she looks great. At 10 days, she’s already up to 8 lbs 9 ozs — 6 ozs over her birth weight. The doctor checked her hips (small risk of problems for breech babies), and said they felt perfect. [...]

We took Kate home from the hospital today. We’d planned to leave in the morning, but we had to wait most of the day for the doctor to show up and take the staples out of Mom’s stomach. We didn’t end up leaving until 7 pm.
